Lil Nas X's "Montero" Video Opinion

Hey guys. This is a super late post and I apologize for that but I wanted to talk about something that’s been in my mind since I saw the issue earlier on TikTok. So, I’m sure you all know but just in case you don’t, Lil Nas X released a music video alongside the song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. The song isn’t under controversy, but the music video is as it depicts scenes of Lil Nas X giving lap dances around a man dressed as Satan. The music video is meant to be a portrayal of how homosexuality is seen as a sin today but still, Lil Nas X finds pride in his sexual orientation. I’ve seen a lot of videos and some comments about how this video is offensive to certain Christian followers, and I don’t think this video should be seen as anything offensive. We should instead be grateful that we live in a world that allows singers of different backgrounds and orientations to portray their them...

Justin Bieber's "Justice"

H E L L O ! Welcome back to another week of this juicy blogging. Today I’m going over an album that came out this week, Justin Bieber’s “Justice”. At first, I didn’t see this album as a big deal but if there’s one thing I know about today’s pop culture, it’s that Justin Bieber has constantly been on the icon list ever since his “Baby, Baby” song came out back when I was in the 5 th grade (I graduated college this year so it’s been a while). That being said, I wanted to check out this album because I wanted to tune in on how Justin’s music has changed with the situation revolving COVID and lockdown. What I got in this project as actually a good time with a good amount of songs being groovy and when it felt repetitive, I was given a good amount of guest features that brought back the energy.                 This album mostly revolves around love and Justin’s relationship with his wife, Hailey Bieber. Righ...

Kali Uchis's "Sin Miedo"

Hola amigos, today I’m going to give my take on the recently released Kali Uchis album “Sin Miedo” that came out in November 2020. I knew I was going to listen to this album in its entirety at some point, but time just drew me to other songs until I finally had the time to look back and see what this album was about. I have been a Kali Uchis fan for a while, particularly of her first full length album “Isolation”. I remember listening to this album while I was a student at UC Santa Barbara, and I’m telling you nothing is better than listening to her soothing voice as you look out to the waves on a beach. I loved her voice and I believe her vocals are very unique and soothing, making her collaborations with Tyler, the Creator’s mellow songs very exciting. That being said, let’s just jump into this album and see what we get. The introduction of this album, “la luna enamorada” was a very chill song, having Kal...

Denzel Curry and Kenny Beat's - "UNLOCKED"

Happy March WHOOOO!! Can’t believe we’re in month three of 2021, time’s flying by and I think I’m starting to hear the walls talk to me. Another thing that’s been talking to me was the new music that we’ve got going on this week. We had a surprise drop from Drake with three songs followed by other singles from artists such as Tyler the Creator, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars aka Silk Sonic, an album from Drill rappers Lil Durk and his bros and the special of this week’s post, UNLOCKED 1.5 with Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats. Before we get into it, I just wanted to give a couple of words on the music I listed above: ·          Drake’s Scary Hours 2 : What’s Next and Wants and Needs ft. Lil Baby are good songs, while Lemon Pepper Freestyle was a little lacking in my opinion. The beats are nice and it’s always a nice time to hear Drake groove out. ·          Silk Sonic’s Leave the Door Open : Great so...
