About Me

   

    What's up guys! My name is Nathen Deo and I am currently an alumnus from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Music. With this I plan on attending graduate school for my MBA degree with the purpose of working in the Music Industry. I have a huge passion with music, specifically live events such as concerts and festivals. I believe in today's society, the aesthetic of music has allowed itself to reach society through more than the auditory sphere, allowing the usage of technology through music videos, podcasts, talk shows, and concerts enhance the experience of music. 

The purpose of raDEO is for me to pretty much talk about anything music related. I currently stream on Twitch, and I recently decided to use that platform as a way for me to have an open conversation about music with anyone who wants to have one. I usually go through albums I haven't heard before and talk about the small concepts and images that come out through the lyrics of each song. After I record the stream, I upload it on YouTube using the same name and later post it in this blog along with some thoughts I had to share. I think this is a great opportunity to not only talk about music and learn about new sounds but also connect with those who haven't had the chance to communicate their passions with music as well. I thank you for reading this and I hope I can have your support as I carry on this project.

Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers Pt.1 and My Thoughts on Zoe Gabrielle's Copy Video

                 Hey guys what’s up and welcome back to my blog for my thoughts on the new Kendrick Lamar album “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers”. It’s been about two months since my last post where I interviewed amazing artist Zoe Gabrielle so let’s hope I’m not too rusty. I remember when Kendrick’s last album “DAMN.” came out, I was in my senior year of high school. I actually had the amazing opportunity that year to not only listen to the album but to visit Compton to see TDE’s Christmas Drive Fundraiser concert as well as had the chance to shake Kendrick’s hand and have him sign my “DAMN.” CD. Interpol's "Turn on the Bright Lights"

                  What’s up guys. Welcome to a new week where I talk about a project I haven’t listened to before. This week I’m going to be talking about an album that’s been out for a while, but I haven’t had a chance to delve into this particular artist. The artist is Interpol and the album will be their debut album “Turn on the Bright Lights” that came out in 2002. The reason I wanted to listen to them was due to my newfound love for the Strokes. I started getting really into alternative rock, and I remember that one song that I associated to my college years was “Rest My Chemistry”.
